Jackie Greenwood is the Director of Phoenix Practice, she is professionally qualified as a Counsellor and Social Worker. She has a MA in Social Work from the University of Hull, UK and a Masters in Counselling (CBT) from Monash University, Australia. Jackie has over ten years of experience as a School Counsellor in International Schools. She is also an approved Practice Teacher for social work and counselling students and lectures at Webster University on the BA Psychology degree in counselling theory and practice. Jackie is an Associate Fellow of Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association, a Member of the American School Counsellors Association and a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists.
Jackie works with adults, teens and children. Her specialist areas of interest are mood disorders, abuse, adjustment and third culture challenges, bereavement and family related issues. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Based Approaches. Her focus is on building relationships with clients that facilitate personal growth and inspire hope.
Over the years, Jackie has facilitated training for parents, teachers and allied professionals in child and adolescent issues, child protection, mental health and counselling and mindfulness. A significant focus in her work is facilitating mindfulness groups for children and adolescents and developing services that promote the health and wellbeing of young people. She is currently involved in these initiatives worldwide in Cambodia, Congo and China.
